Crafts, crafts, crafts
Couldn’t stop at just jewellery, could I? Here are some of my other experiments!
Bookmarks
Or as I sometimes like to call them, fancy paperclips! I love reading, and I tend to pick up several books at the same time, which means I can never have too many bookmarks!
Made exactly the same way as my jewellery, except instead of ring findings, I glued them onto big paperclips.
Dragon Eggs
I was commissioned to make some props for Victoria House's 2015 Formal, themed “Game of Thrones”. I made these using polystyrene eggs, a lot of thumbtacks, a lot of nail polish, time and even more patience.
The end results were very satisfying to behold (and to hold as well!). All of them changed colour depending on their angles.
Phone Cases
I really love glitter, and I really love rainbows. I also like personalising my phone case myself, and as such I've made a variety of similar (but indeed different! I try to use differing glitter combinations each time) cases.
I used to paint the glitters and nail polish straight onto the phone cases themselves, but found they'd chip with time. My latest way of doing it is by painting a template! I make a template of the case, paint it black, and then paint my rainbow onto it. That way I can easily make several at a time and swap them around at any point, giving me total reign over my phone case.
Handmade Nail Polish
Finally, with all my (very) obvious love for nail polish, I ventured into making some myself! These are a few of my creations. I made a lot mainly as birthday presents for close friends, though I have been commissioned here and there to make customised ones for clients. I usually make extra of these to keep as small bottles for myself, in order to be able to guarantee their colours and usability over time. I would hate for a product I've made to become faulty, and so having a little bit of the same mixture will be able to inform me if it has or not.
